The economy continues to hurt fire fighters across the nation. Recently Philly started brownouts and East St. Louis laid off 11 fire fighters. Baltimore fire & police are fighting attacks on their pension system. Colorado is also struggling with the economy.
Eric Tade was appointed to the position of Denver Fire Chief. Eric has served the department 20 years and has spent the last 10 years working for Local 858 as the Director of Political Affairs. The CPFF wishes him well in his new position.
The Little Fire Fighters Foundation will be holding their annual golf tournament at Arrowhead Golf Course on September 7th. Lunch & dinner are provided and the tournament benefits the foundation. For more info or to register
